On Tuesday morning, sisters Sara and Erin Foster, creators of the Netflix series Nobody Wants This, participated in a video call from their homes in Los Angeles. Sara, 43, sported an oversized sweatshirt, while Erin, 42, opted for a casual bathrobe, embodying their signature laid-back style.
Despite their relaxed appearance, the sisters have had an incredibly busy month. Nobody Wants This premiered on September 26 and quickly climbed to the top of Netflix’s ratings within a week. Written by Erin and co-produced by both sisters, the series draws inspiration from Erin’s real-life romance with music executive Simon Tikhman, which includes her journey of converting to Judaism. In the show, Kristen Bell portrays Joanne, a blonde agnostic relationship podcaster, while Adam Brody plays Noah, a bearded rabbi. Together, they navigate the complexities of building a serious relationship.
In addition to their successful show, the Fosters recently ventured into the discussion surrounding reproductive rights and in vitro fertilization, particularly relevant as Election Day approaches. They released a limited edition T-shirt through their fashion brand, Favorite Daughter, emblazoned with the bold phrase, “IVF, Baby.” This initiative is a collaboration with CCRM Fertility, with all proceeds benefiting Resolve: the National Infertility Association.
