TMRW Life Sciences has announced the forthcoming launch of TMRW Vault, an advanced liquid nitrogen smart tank and digital workstation designed to enhance the storage and management of frozen eggs, embryos, and sperm. This innovation integrates digital technology with manual storage access, offering fertility clinics a modernized approach to cryostorage.
Since its inception in 2018, TMRW Life Sciences has been at the forefront of revolutionizing frozen IVF specimen management. The development of TMRW Vault is the result of years of collaboration with fertility clinics and embryologists, aimed at addressing the diverse needs of cryostorage. This latest offering complements the company’s suite of cryopreservation solutions, providing flexibility for clinics whether they require onsite or offsite storage, vapor or liquid-based cryostorage, and manual or automated access.
“In our ongoing effort to modernize and elevate frozen IVF specimen management, we have learned that a one-size-fits-all approach does not apply to cryostorage,” said Louis Villalba, Chief Executive Officer of TMRW Life Sciences. “The TMRW Vault fills a critical gap in our comprehensive cryostorage solutions, offering a scalable and adaptable option for any clinic.”
The TMRW Vault delivers multiple advantages, including digital specimen tracking via RFID technology, expedited manual access for efficiency, and high scalability—each tank holds the equivalent of ten traditional dewars, accommodating up to 1,470 patients while occupying just one-third of the space. Additionally, the system incorporates TMRW’s Overwatch monitoring technology, which conducts thousands of daily safety checks to ensure optimal storage conditions.
Further features include seamless integration with the TMRW ecosystem, enabling clinics to adopt solutions such as offsite storage at the TMRW Biorepository. The system also supports easy installation within a single day and offers electronic medical record (EMR) integration to reduce manual input errors and maintain precise patient records.
TMRW Life Sciences currently collaborates with over 70 clinics, representing approximately 25% of U.S. patient cycle volume, and manages the specimens of more than 50,000 patients. Several leading fertility clinics are set to implement the TMRW Vault in the coming weeks.
“What distinguishes TMRW is its commitment to evolving and refining its technology to meet the specific needs of each clinic and laboratory,” said Bec Holmes, Senior Vice President of Lab Operations at CCRM Fertility. “Their expertise in IVF lab operations has led to an innovative solution that seamlessly integrates cutting-edge technology with the practical demands of daily operations.”
Founded in 2018, TMRW Life Sciences has pioneered the development of technology that enables digital specimen identification and tracking, automated robotic handling, and continuous remote monitoring, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency in cryostorage management.
