South Korean broadcaster Park Soo-hong has generously donated 33 million won to help couples struggling with infertility. The donation was made to Ewha Womans University Medical Center, the hospital where Park and his wife, Kim Da-ye, successfully welcomed their daughter, Park Jae-i, last year through in vitro fertilization (IVF).
On March 10, Park announced on his YouTube channel that he had donated his entire YouTube revenue from last year to support infertile couples. He personally contributed 30 million won, while an additional 3 million won was donated under the names of his wife and daughter.
Park shared his motivation behind the donation, stating, “Thanks to the love from supporters, I donated the entire amount of my YouTube revenue last year. Although it may not be sufficient, I will create many opportunities to give back in some way.”
The Ewha Womans University Medical Center is expected to use these funds to provide financial assistance to couples undergoing fertility treatments, giving hope to those facing similar challenges.
Park’s heartfelt gesture reflects his gratitude for the support he received during his own journey to parenthood and his desire to help others in similar situations.
