Jindal IVF, a leader in Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) and In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), has once again demonstrated its expertise by successfully treating a case of male infertility caused by hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. This rare condition was diagnosed in the husband of a couple struggling with primary infertility for four years. The husband had azoospermia, meaning he had no sperm in his ejaculate due to low levels of Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) and Luteinizing Hormone (LH).
After a thorough evaluation, the wife’s reproductive health was found to be normal, while the husband’s low hormone levels were identified as the key factor causing infertility. To address this, the medical team at Jindal IVF administered human menopausal gonadotropin (hMG) injections, which contain both FSH and LH, for three months to stimulate sperm production. However, after the initial treatment period, no sperm were found.
Undeterred by the lack of immediate results, the treatment continued for an additional two months, and by the fifth month, a breakthrough occurred. Sperm were found in the husband’s ejaculate, with approximately 2 million motile sperm, which allowed the couple to proceed with IVF using their own genetic material.
In the IVF process, 10 eggs were successfully retrieved from the wife, and 6 embryos were formed. After transferring one embryo during the first cycle, the wife became pregnant, and the pregnancy proceeded smoothly. Nine months later, the couple welcomed a healthy baby girl into the world.
Dr. Sheetal Jindal, Senior Consultant and IVF-PGT Specialist at Jindal IVF, shared, “This case exemplifies the potential of modern reproductive medicine to overcome complex infertility issues, even when initial treatments do not yield immediate results. Persistence and precision led us to help this couple achieve their dream of parenthood with their own eggs and sperm. This success highlights our commitment to compassionate, tailored care for couples facing infertility.”
The couple expressed profound gratitude toward the Jindal IVF team for their support, with the husband and wife stating, “We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Jindal and the team at Jindal IVF for their unwavering support. Being able to conceive and give birth to our child using our own genetic material is a blessing we will cherish forever.”
