Record-Breaking IVF Births in 2024
In 2024 alone, Abu Dhabi’s specialized fertility centers recorded 695 successful childbirths through IVF. This milestone underscores the emirate’s commitment to providing cutting-edge fertility solutions for individuals and couples struggling with infertility.
Addressing a Global Infertility Crisis
Infertility affects 17.5% of the global adult population, with one in six adults facing challenges in conceiving, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Assisted reproductive treatments (ART) have become a critical solution worldwide, and Abu Dhabi is playing a significant role in tackling this widespread issue.
Expanding Fertility Services in Abu Dhabi
The emirate continues to expand its reproductive healthcare services, now home to 14 licensed fertility centers, including two new facilities that opened in 2024. Additionally, Abu Dhabi hosts 45 maternal and delivery centers, supported by a robust network of over 2,800 healthcare professionals—including 700 specialists and consultants, as well as 375 midwives.
