This certification allows the company to market its technology across fertility clinics in Europe, a major milestone in its quest to revolutionize reproductive care.
Founded in 2020 by male fertility specialist Dr. Nino Guy Cassuto and electro-optics expert Gal Golov, BAIBYS has developed a cutting-edge system that uses artificial intelligence and machine vision to autonomously select and isolate ideal sperm cells. The system operates at high magnification and adheres to World Health Organization (WHO) criteria for sperm quality, enabling precise and efficient sperm selection in a fraction of the time typically required by manual methods.
This breakthrough comes at a crucial moment, as male infertility contributes to approximately 50% of all infertility cases globally, with sperm counts declining by 50% over the past five decades. BAIBYS’s technology aims to address this growing challenge by standardizing the sperm selection process, reducing procedure time, and enhancing the chances of successful in vitro fertilization (IVF). By improving the accuracy of sperm selection, the system may also help reduce the risk of birth defects and increase the efficiency of IVF clinics.
BAIBYS is preparing for the commercial rollout of its system in European fertility clinics, with plans to initiate clinical trials in 2025. The company is also in the midst of an ongoing seed funding round to support its expansion efforts, with future plans to extend its operations to the United States and Asia.
