As infertility concerns continue to mount in Nigeria, experts are preparing to gather for a pivotal conference that will explore the connection between modern diets, lifestyle choices, and reproductive health. Set for January 25 at 10:00 am, the event is hosted by the Quiver Full Foundation, one of the few Nigerian organizations offering free assisted conception services.
Dr. Abayomi Ajayi, a prominent reproductive health expert from Nordica Fertility Centre, will headline the event with a keynote address. Additional speakers include celebrated entrepreneur and women’s empowerment advocate Mrs. Yewande Zaccheaus, mental health professional Mrs. Gbemi Adekoya, and Apostle Femi Lazarus, among others, who will offer diverse perspectives on the issue.
The online conference is open to all, with no participation fee, and aims to raise awareness about fertility challenges while providing support to couples facing difficulty in starting families. Catherine Oyenike Abagun, the founder of the Quiver Full Foundation, stated, “This event is part of our ongoing efforts to educate Nigerians about fertility issues and assist couples in their journey to parenthood.” She also shared that the foundation has successfully helped numerous couples conceive, and they hope to continue making a significant impact.
Founded in 2017, the Quiver Full Foundation has helped facilitate pregnancies for many couples, resulting in the birth of 20 babies. Mrs. Abagun’s tireless work in the field of fertility health was recently recognized with the 2024 NHN International Woman of Excellence Award in Doha, Qatar, further highlighting her dedication to improving reproductive health in Nigeria.
The conference will not only highlight the latest research in fertility but will also cover traditional methods that continue to be relevant in fertility treatment. Participants will have the chance to discuss various fertility treatments, mental wellness, and how lifestyle changes, including diet and stress, impact reproductive health.
