Adequate iron intake, from sources like red meat and beans, helps prevent anemia. On the other hand, a diet high in processed foods, excessive sugar, and saturated fats can disrupt hormonal balance and potentially affect ovulation.

Exercise Routine

Regular physical activity is beneficial, but moderation is key. Engaging in activities like walking, jogging, or yoga helps maintain a healthy weight and improves overall well-being. However, overexercising, especially with extremely intense workouts that lead to very low body fat levels, can disrupt the menstrual cycle and ovulation. For instance, women who train for long-distance running competitions and have very low body fat percentages may experience irregular periods or even amenorrhea, which can make it difficult to conceive.

Getting enough sleep is vital for hormonal regulation. Lack of sleep can disrupt the production of hormones such as luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), which are involved in ovulation. Aiming for 7-9 hours of sleep each night helps support a healthy reproductive system. Young women who have irregular sleep schedules due to late-night studying or social activities may unknowingly affect their fertility.

Identifying and treating such conditions early can improve the chances of getting pregnant. For example, if a woman has PCOS, which can cause irregular periods and ovulation problems, appropriate treatment can help regulate her cycle and enhance fertility.
