On Sunday, Rajya Sabha member Sudha Murthy and Infosys founder Dr. Narayana Murthy attended the inauguration of the newly upgraded Shanti Gynec Festival. During her visit, Sudha Murthy engaged in a discussion with the hospital’s medical director, Dr. Shilpa GB, focusing on the increasing rates of infertility among women. She raised concerns about how modern lifestyle changes, dietary habits, and heightened stress levels are contributing to this troubling trend.
Following the event, Dr. Shilpa GB expressed that Sudha Murthy’s presence has reinforced the hospital’s commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare for women, particularly in addressing infertility issues and supporting parents through their journeys. She highlighted that Shanti Gynec was established with the goal of delivering advanced surgical care to women facing significant health challenges.
The hospital is equipped to offer 24/7 services, including infertility treatments such as Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) and In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), along with gynecology, laparoscopy, and maternity care. The event was also attended by several distinguished medical professionals, including pediatrician Dr. Sanjay Gururaj, surgical oncologist Dr. Mahesh Bandimegal, obstetrician Dr. Indira Reddy, Dr. Prakash Kini, Dr. Nirmala BM, and Dr. Chandrika Muralidhar, emphasizing the collaborative effort to enhance women’s healthcare services in the region.
