Virtus Fertility Centre Singapore (VFCS) marks a significant milestone as it celebrates its 10th anniversary. Over the past decade, the center has been at the forefront of reproductive medicine, contributing to research, offering evidence-based fertility treatments, and providing comprehensive education to couples seeking fertility preservation and assistance with infertility treatments such as single embryo transfer, egg freezing, and PGT testing.
Since its inception on January 21, 2015, VFCS has been committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based fertility care that combines clinical excellence with personalized, empathetic support. Over the years, the center has proudly helped thousands of families start their parenthood journey, contributing to more than 1,600 healthy births.
“It’s with immense pride that we reflect on our decade-long journey in reproductive medicine,” said Dr. Roland Chieng, Founding Medical Director of VFCS. “Our mission has always been to help patients achieve their dream of starting a family, with the best possible care backed by research and evidence-based practices.”
One of the center’s most recent advancements is the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in IVF procedures, which became a standard of care in 2024. By combining AI technology with clinical expertise, VFCS aims to further enhance treatment outcomes, providing patients with the highest likelihood of success in their fertility journeys.
VFCS has also developed a state-of-the-art, cleanroom-grade IVF laboratory equipped with cutting-edge technologies designed to ensure optimal conditions for embryo development. These features include:
- RFID witnessing systems for enhanced specimen identification and tracking
- Intracytoplasmic Morphologically Selected Sperm Injection (IMSI) for improved sperm selection
- Assisted hatching technology to support embryo implantation
- Time-lapse monitoring systems for continuous embryo observation
- Smart Laboratory environmental monitoring systems
These technologies work in synergy to guarantee the security and integrity of patient specimens throughout the IVF process.
Looking ahead, VFCS plans to integrate the ReadyBaby programme, which focuses on preparing patients for fertility treatments through lifestyle modifications. This comprehensive programme includes personalized nutrition advice, stress management techniques, sleep hygiene guidance, body composition monitoring, and hormonal health tracking.
“The ReadyBaby programme emphasizes the importance of physical and emotional readiness before and during treatment,” said Dr. Chieng. “Our goal is to help patients adopt sustainable habits that support their fertility journey and overall well-being.”
In 2025, VFCS will continue its mission of raising awareness about fertility health through public educational events and patient support initiatives. These efforts align with the center’s ongoing commitment to providing accessible fertility care and empowering patients with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed.
