In Wisconsin, twin sisters are showing just how deep sibling bonds can run, especially when one shares life-changing news. Payton Meulemans, 26, recently captured the emotional moment she told her twin sister, Rylie Parman, that she’s expecting her first child.
The touching video, now viral with over 7 million views on TikTok, shows Parman’s shocked and joyful reaction as she screams and then bursts into tears upon seeing a positive pregnancy test. “No, you’re not. No, you’re not,” Parman says through tears before being overwhelmed by the news.
For Meulemans, the surprise was even more emotional given the couple’s previous struggles with infertility. “I was about to have an appointment for infertility treatment just a few days after this video, so my sister had no idea I was pregnant,” Meulemans shared in an interview with Good Morning America. She added that while she expected her sister to be happy, the intensity of Parman’s reaction took her by surprise.
Meulemans, who is due later this year, is excited to welcome the first grandchild on her side of the family. She revealed that she shared the pregnancy news with her sister in October, when she was nearly five weeks pregnant. The video was posted on TikTok on January 1, as she entered her second trimester.
Reflecting on her twin sister’s unwavering support, Meulemans expressed how lucky she feels. “She’s always been my biggest cheerleader—through school, sports, and adulthood,” Meulemans said. “I’m lucky to not only have a supportive husband but also a sister like Rylie. She is truly something special, and I feel blessed.”
