The global rise in childless couples has driven an increasing demand for in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments. Addressing this need, Indira IVF, India’s leading chain of infertility treatment centers, has inaugurated a new state-of-the-art facility in Gorakhpur. The hospital, located on the third floor above Pantaloons on Cinema Road, Purdilpur, is equipped with modern technology to provide comprehensive fertility solutions.
This new facility marks the 19th Indira IVF center in Uttar Pradesh and is part of the group’s vision to make advanced infertility treatments accessible to both urban and rural populations by expanding into tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Gorakhpur Mayor Manglesh Srivastava as Chief Guest, along with former BRD Medical College HOD Dr. Radha Jina and Hospital Head Dr. Shikha Mukhija. The event featured ribbon-cutting and special presentations of gifts to children from the Bal Shishu Grih and couples who achieved parenthood through IVF treatment. Notable attendees included Dr. Madhu Gulati, Dr. Smita Jaiswal, and Dr. Reena Srivastava.
Mayor Srivastava praised the initiative, noting that infertility often remains a less-discussed health issue. He commended Indira IVF for creating a comprehensive treatment center to address this sensitive subject under one roof.
Indira IVF Group’s Managing Director and Co-Founder, Nitiz Murdia, highlighted the critical need for such facilities in India. According to an Ernst & Young report, around 27.5 million couples in the country face infertility challenges, yet only about 250,000 IVF cycles are conducted annually due to limited awareness and access to treatment centers. Murdia emphasized the organization’s mission to bridge this gap by making advanced fertility treatments available and affordable to all, empowering couples to fulfill their dream of parenthood.
Hospital Head Dr. Shikha Mukhija elaborated on the group’s efforts to reduce treatment costs while increasing access to IVF. She emphasized Indira IVF’s commitment to dispelling myths, raising awareness about reproductive health, and offering hope to couples who have lost faith in their ability to conceive. The Gorakhpur facility reflects this ethos, combining cutting-edge technology with patient-focused care.
Indira IVF continues to lead the way in reproductive healthcare by expanding its network and integrating technological innovations. With a clear focus on accessibility, affordability, and education, the group is poised to transform infertility treatment in India and beyond, bringing hope to millions.
